Aïnu is a fine art services company providing personalized and expert services for museums, galleries, private collectors and luxury brands. With more than 15 years of experience operating worldwide, we focus on developing and using creative, reliable, resistant and discrete mountmaking techniques. Our headquarters are in Paris and we also have a branch in New York, to better answer our North American customers’ demand. We work hand-in-hand with museum directors, curators, registrars, conservators and designers, at every step of their projects.

Stéphane Pennec
Founder & CEO
Stéphane's primary role is in strategy, operations, and business minutiae. He is also a metal conservator and UNESCO expert. He's worked in museum services for twenty five years, much of this time with museums, artists and patrimonial institutions. Out of the office, he's an avid traveller and photographer.
Catherine Crocq
Head of conservation and restoration
Catherine leads our conservation and restoration department at aïnu. She manages ambitious restoration projects as well as provides guidance to our mountmakers and art technicians regarding art handling techniques and materials compatibility. She always keeps her paint palette close at hand.
Mariateresa Anichini
Project Manager
Mariateresa oversees all aspects of our projects so they run smoothly for our teams and clients. With coordination as her mantra she is our secret asset when it comes to design and museography. Our clients cannot resist her Italian accent and when it comes to pasta, she is definitely the boss.
Louis de Chavagnac
Project Manager
Louis is Aïnu’s Senior Project Manager with many years of experience leading projects for museums and galeries all over the world. Louis keeps our projects running smoothly, on time and on budget. On top of that he's a talented craftsman, motorbike lover and our very own computer geek.
